Blue Light Blockers

Our CR39 and Nylon lenses don't meet the Z87+ safety standard because they aren't meant for sports or as safety glasses. Z87+ requires the use of  polycarbonate (PC) lenses, usually around 2.3mm thick. Please note that all our glasses are FDA approved.

Magnetic does not emit EMF. On the opposite magnetic are used in EMF-free products as they tend to reduce the EMF. A static magnetic field does not create an electromagnetic field.

However, if you put the magnet on the axle and spin it at high speed then, yes, you get a low-frequency EMF.

Please read this article to learn more.

While magnets attract iron, and we have iron in our blood, the iron in the blood is in the “hemoglobin” red blood cells as an “ion” not as a “metal” Because the iron ion is surrounded by hemoglobin proteins and basically shielded from having any attraction to a nearby magnet there is no possibility for hemoglobin to clump into a blood clot from the presence of a magnet.

Not all red-tinted glasses are created equally.

As a rule of thumb, red-tinted glasses are sure to block the blue and the green light frequencies, however, the percentage of the blue and the green light blocked at a given frequency can be dramatically different. The glasses can still allow 3 to 20% of light to pass through at any given frequency. This is called light ‘’leakage’’ and is detrimental to your sleep and circadian rhythm.

There are 4 important qualities that determine how efficient the nighttime glasses are at protecting your sleep and circadian rhythm:

  1. Their ability to eliminate the blue light

  2. Their ability to eliminate the green light

  3. Their ability to decrease brightness

  4. How optically optimized the lens ensures clear vision

After testing dozens of red-tinted glasses on the market we found that none of them were meeting those 4 qualities simultaneously.

VivaRays Nightime Lenses have been designed by experts and scientifically engineered to block 100 % of blue and green light, and decrease the brightness by 12-15 times. All of our lenses are optically optimized to ensure the best clear vision.

In most cases, by consistently wearing the glasses, it may take 1-2 weeks or so for your eyes to adjust and for you to start seeing the full benefits of our lenses.

No, please follow the instuctions as below:

During the day
Wear the Daytime yellow glasses only whenever you are indoors under artificial light or in front of digital screens to protect your eyes from harmful blue light that may lead to eye strain, fatigue, headaches, and migraines.

After sunset or before sunrise
Clip on the Evening orange lenses after sunset; they mimic the beginning of a bonfire so that you can unwind and feel relaxed yet still have enough energy to cook, drive, socialize, etc.

At nightime
Remove the Evening orange clip then clip on the Nightime red lenses only 1-2hrs before you sleep; they are designed to emulate full darkness or the end of a fire. They block 100% of the blue and green light which means you will be able to sleep much deeper and wake up more energized.

Many people came to believe that blue light is bad. They started using blue blockers without understanding how much they are blocking, and when to use what.

Blue light is not good or bad. Blue light is relative. Its effect on you will depend on the time of the day you are exposing yourself to it and whether or not the blue light arriving at your eyes is balanced and proportionate with the other frequencies of colors.

Sunlight is very rich in blue light. This blue light is crucial to your health. However, the blue light from sunlight is always balanced and proportionate with the yellow, orange, and red.

In contrast, the blue light that comes from led source is not balanced and is never proportionate with the yellow, orange and red. This blue light in isolation (at 455nm) has been shown to be degenerative to the cells causing macular degeneration, eye fatigue, headaches, and agitation.

This is why our daytime technology is designed to balance out this blue light at 455nm and make it more balanced and proportionate with the other colors.

The equation changes completely at night. Blue and green light are not present in nature after the sunsets. Those high frequencies of light confuse the brain and body into thinking it is daytime, and as a result, they ruin your sleep.

Our evening and nighttime glasses are designed to filter out the wrong light information coming from artificial light sources so that your body can understand that is dark outside and start preparing for a restful night's sleep.

When light enters your eyes, the intensity is largely determined by the angle at which it approaches. Here’s an easy way to visualize this:

  • Imagine shining a flashlight directly at a small surface, like your face. The light is concentrated, landing on a small area, so the intensity is strong.
  • Now, imagine moving the flashlight to the side. The light spreads over a much larger area as the angle increases, and by the time it’s at the side, the light becomes so diffuse that its intensity is negligible.

Nerd Explanation: This is explained by the cosine law of illumination, which shows that the intensity of light decreases as the angle becomes steeper (more to the side). Mathematically, the light intensity is proportional to cos(θ), where θ is the angle between the light source and the surface. When the light comes straight at you, the angle is 0 degrees, and cos(0) = 1, so the light is at full intensity. However, as the angle increases to the side, like 90 degrees, cos(90) = 0, meaning almost no light reaches your eyes directly.

Using a light meter to measure this difference reveals:

  • Light entering from the front can measure around 500 lux or more.
  • Light entering from the sides often measures less than 0.1 lux, an intensity so low that it’s ten times dimmer than moonlight!
Even the moon, which doesn’t disrupt our circadian clock, is significantly brighter than the light entering from the sides. This is why side light typically doesn’t interfere with your circadian rhythms and melatonin production ( Assuming that you are not actively moving your iris to the extreme left and right and looking from the sides).

Roudy, our CEO and Founder also recorded a helpful video explaining here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OJhdb4jibOY
Sunglasses are commonly used to reduce brightness and glare; however, sunglasses block 100% of UV light and the majority of the full spectrum of natural sunlight. Those frequencies are essential nutrients to our bodies, and they provide the energy to produce essential hormones and enzymes that control our mood, sleep, digestion, productivity, energy, and metabolism.

Blocking those frequencies with sunglasses is very destructive to every aspect of our health. Instead, you can protect your eyes and manage brightness without sacrificing the advantages of sunlight:
  • Wear a hat or use shade: A wide-brimmed hat is a fantastic alternative to sunglasses, as it reduces glare and brightness while still allowing natural light to reach your eyes.
  • Ease into sunlight exposure: Start by spending time outdoors in the softer morning or late afternoon light to allow your eyes to adapt gradually.
  • Avoid prolonged midday sunlight exposure without preparation: If the sunlight feels too intense, take breaks in shaded areas
Here’s how VivaRays glasses can help throughout your day:

1. Start with VivaRays Daytime Glasses During the Day:
Indoors when exposed to LED lights and screens, use VivaRays Daytime glasses to harmonize unbalanced blue light. This eliminates inflammatory frequencies that dehydrate the fascia in your eyes, making them more sensitive to sunlight. our Daytime glasses also prevent eye strain, but we don't recommend wearing them outdoors during the day because they block UV light from the sun.

2. Switch to VivaRays Evening Glasses After Sunset:
Once the sun sets, wear VivaRays Evening glasses to block disruptive blue and green light while maintaining visibility and functionality. These lenses support relaxation, help your body prepare for rest, and protect your circadian rhythm.

3. Use VivaRays Nighttime Glasses 30-60 Minutes Before Bed:
Before bedtime, transition to VivaRays Nighttime glasses, which block all artificial light and optimize melatonin production. This allows the mitochondria in your eyes to repair and rejuvenate overnight, preparing your eyes to absorb more sunlight the following day.

Importance of Blue Light During the Day: Naturally, blue light is important for us during the day; it's part of the sunlight we enjoy. But here's something interesting: the blue light from our screens and LED lights isn't quite the same as what we get from the sun.

The sun gives us a balanced spectrum, blending blue with yellows, oranges, and reds (degenerative and regenerative frequencies blended). On the other hand, our devices and LED bulbs emit a specific type of blue light that doesn't have this natural balance. It's a bit like getting only one ingredient from a recipe.

Now, it's not that blue light is bad. It's just that the unbalanced blue light from our devices is different from what we've evolved within nature. This causes inflammation in the mitochondria, leading to eye stains, headaches, agitation etc. This is where our circadian light-harmonizing glasses come into the picture. They don't block out blue light, but they help to balance it out, making it more in tune with the natural spectrum our eyes are used to.

For an even deeper understanding, Fritz Hollwich’s book "The Influence of Ocular Light Perception on Metabolism in Man and in Animals" is a comprehensive resource.

We offer 3 different lenses for different time of the day. Optimally, we recommend 3 lenses as each lens is designed to be worn at a specific time of the day.

Daytime yellow lenses: these are scientifically engineered to balance out the distorted blue light without blocking it completely.

How to use them? Wear them during the day, anytime you are in an indoor space, exposed to artificial light from computer devices or LED bulbs

Benefits:

  1. Increase your energy
  2. Alleviate eye fatigue & headaches
  3. Improve your focus
  4. Enhance your mood during the day
  5. Slows aging

Evening orange lenses: these are scientifically engineered to mimic the color temperature of twilight and the bonfire. They are optimal for winter, fall and spring when the sun sets very early at around 4PM.

How to use them? Wear them after sunset so you can still do your evening activities such as cooking, socializing, working or watchin TV without feeling too sleepy. They are designed as the optimal harmonious transition between daytime glasses and nighttime glasses.

Benefits:

  1. Wind down easily in the evening
  2. Work & socialize without harmful light frequencies
  3. Improve your cognition & memory
  4. Feel less stressed & anxious at night
  5. Produce melatonin for restful sleep

Nightime red lenses: They are scientifically engineered to emulate full darkness or the end of the fire, when the wood turns into the amber coil.

How to use them? Wear them about 1-2 hours before bed.

Benefits:

  1. Feel less stressed and anxious at night
  2. Regulate your appetite and hunger at night
  3. Improve your sleep quality
  4. Wake up rested and full of energy
  5. Feel more focused and productive during the day

Our VivaRays Daytime lens technology decreases the sharpness of the peak wavelengths in blue-violet light (455 nm)  emitted by led bulbs and screens by 50%. The blue light coming through the lenses becomes proportionate and balanced with the green, yellow, and orange without blocking too much blue.

When the blue light becomes more balanced and proportionate with the other colours, it becomes very beneficial during the day. It elevates your mood and keeps you energized and focused during the day.

Artificial LED lights emit unbalanced narrow blue light that peaks at 455 nm. This frequency, when unbalanced with the other frequencies of colors causes eye strain, eye fatigue, headache, and agitation.

Clear blue light blockers block 0% of the blue light at 455nm. This is why they are a marketing gimmick. They show you videos of those glasses blocking the blue light from a pen that emits blue light at 380-400nm. In fact, LED bulbs and screens emit 0% of blue light under 430nm. In other words, clear blue blockers block the blue light that is not emitted by harmful artificial light. They are a waste of money.

Kindly watch this video for a deeper understanding of why these clear blue blockers in the market do not work and are only used as marketing gimmicks.

Vivarays Daytime yellow glasses 'harmonize' the 455 nm blue light by softening the spike and spreading its intensity across the spectrum. This ensures that the blue light entering your eyes is more balanced and proportionate with the accompanying green, yellow, and orange wavelengths that naturally balance blue light in sunlight.

During the day, our brain needs bright light to function at its best. You need as much as 100,000 lux of brightness entering your eyes in the morning for your brain to optimize your alertness, focus, and sharpness.

Lux is simply a way to measure brightness, specifically, how much light is reaching a surface. Think of it as a way to quantify and measure the brightness of light reaching your eyes. Now, when it comes to managing artificial light during the day, the goal is too reduce harmful light without cutting brightness. Our yellow lenses reduces brightness by only 1.2 times, preserving higher lux levels that help your brain stay alert, energized, and synced with the time of day.

Unlike other brands, they totally block 100% of the blue light at 455 nm which also wipes out beneficial blue-turquoise light (470–500 nm) that your brain needs to signal its daytime, which can leave you feeling sluggish, low on energy, and disrupt your circadian rhythm. They also reduce the lux of brightness by 2 times which is important during the day.

VivaRays evening orange glasses are designed to block 100% of blue and high-frequency green light up to 520 nm, these glasses allow just the right amount of green light for comfortable performance of evening tasks.

They reduce brightness by 4x, enough to help you wind down without making you feel overly drowsy. Perfect for those early evening hours during the winter or fall season when you still need to be functional and capable for performing your evening tasks. The color temperature as well is 1600K, mimicking the soft, warm glow of a bonfire which is deal for early evening relaxation.

Other brands blocks 100% of blue and green light up to 550 nm. While effective, we think they go too far for early evening use, and their color temperature is around 1500K only, slightly dimmer than the soft, warm glow of a bonfire.

Kindly watch this recent/actual test we did for our evening glasses: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1WhU6cOO1aHOE9MHTu9HQdqfjpj65DdQl/view

VivaRays Nighttime red glasses blocks 100% of blue and green light up to 570 nm, making them the gold standard for melatonin production and sleep optimization.

With a brightness reduction of 10x, our lenses create the perfect environment for winding down in the last hour before bed, signaling to your brain that it’s time for deep, restful sleep.

Our color temperature is around 1000K, replicating the deep, amber glow of embers—perfect for pre-bedtime wind-down, and in terms of brightness reduction, our red lenses reduces brightness by 10 times, creating the ideal dark environment for melatonin production.

Compared to other brands, they block 100% of blue and green light up to 550 nm only and their color temperature is around 1500K, slightly dimmer than the soft, warm glow of a bonfire and in terms of brightness reduction, they also reduce brightness only by 5 times which is not so ideal before bedtime.

Here's our actual and recent test for our nighttime red glasses: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1bgUoBIyMvtNfyI6JuGmp6AC7FS1zjxFF/view

They are designed to be used as regular glasses, whether with or without a prescription.

Wear the UVT clear prescription glasses outside during the day to allow up to 80% of beneficial light to enter your eyes; these lenses are made to ensure you get the right light spectrum during the day, aligning your circadian rhythm.

Wear the Daytime yellow glasses during the day whenever you are indoors under artificial light or in front of digital screens to protect your eyes from harmful blue light that may lead to eye strain, fatigue, headaches, and migraines.

Wear the Evening orange glasses after sunset; they mimic the beginning of a bonfire so that you can unwind and feel relaxed yet still have enough energy to cook, drive and socialize.

Wear the Nighttime red glasses 1-2 hours before bed; they are designed to emulate full darkness or the end of a fire. They block 100% of the blue and green light which mean you will be able to sleep much deeper and awake up more energized.

There are many cheap clear, yellow, orange, and red-tinted glasses in the market. The clear blue blockers, cheap and expensive don’t work at all because they block the blue light that is not emitted by the led screens and bulbs.

About 90% of the yellow-tinted glasses block a lot more than what’s needed. This causes you to feel sleepy and tired during the day.

Also, not all orange and red-tinted glasses are created equal. Even though the orange glasses are surely to block the blue light and the red lenses are sure to block the blue and green light, however the percentage of the blue and the green light blocked at a given frequency can be dramatically different. 90% of the glasses we tested in the market still allowed 3 to 20% of light to pass through at any given frequency (in the blue and green light range). This is called light ‘’leakage’’ and is detrimental to your sleep and circadian rhythm.

Our Clip'N'Go is the first and most advanced 3 lens circadian light therapy glasses that are designed to balance out the artificial light that arrives at the eyes from daytime, to evening, to nighttime in a scientific way that is in alignment with the latest circadian research.

We also use the most ethical and eco-friendly processes. Our frames are made from FSC-certified wood, imported bioacetate materials, and stainless steel nickel-free! We also use the highest quality, optically optimized lenses, and we are proudly collaborating with a carbon-neutral lab in Canada that operates on geothermal and solar energy!

UV transmitter prescription lenses

Like everything in life, too much of a good thing can become problematic. The same thing goes for UV light. The small amount we get from nature, balanced by the rest of the natural spectrum of sunlight, is actually beneficial in many ways for us.

As Dr.John Ott says: '' Giving too much oxygen at birth will blind the baby, but it would be foolish to conclude that oxygen is bad and we should avoid it at all costs''.

There are hundreds of peer-reviewed studies about the beneficial effects of UV light on our health.

Light is a powerful nutrient. We need a balanced consumption of all the wavelengths to live a happy, and healthy life.

Trace amounts of UV light, like we get from sunlight are essential to our health.

Blue light-blocking glasses are meant to be worn inside when you are exposed to artificial blue light. They are meant to mitigate the negative impact of blue light wavelengths when it is not properly balanced by the rest of the spectrum or when they are present at the wrong time of day (like in the evening or at night).

Our UV transmitter lenses are designed to replace your regular prescription lenses to restore a more natural spectrum of light when you are outside and exposed to UV light. Like superman, you need the full spectrum of the sun to access your full potential!

Yes, for sure! We are happy to offer you 2 options:

Option 1:

Ordering the UV transmitter lenses + a daytime clip on

To complete the set and have the Clip’N’Go 4 in 1, you will need:

1. The UV transmitter lenses: You can install these on your existing Vivarays base frame.

2. The daytime clip-on: for indoor use anytime you are exposed to artificial light during the day.

Below are the next steps for the upgrade:

  • Please send us a message and mention that you want to upgrade.
  • Please add your email address used in your previous order or your order number.
  • Our team will get back to you and send you a manual invoice for the UV transmitter lenses and the daytime clip ons.
  • Once paid, our optometrist will start manufacturing the lenses and ship them to you.
  • We will send you the instructions via email for reference.

Option 2:

Ordering the base frame with the UV transmitter lenses + a daytime clip-on (optional)

If you wish to keep your current base frame with the daytime prescription lenses and have another frame for outdoor use, then please follow the below steps:

  1. You can order a new base frame with new prescription that matches your existing style e.g. Glo Daytime + Glo UV transmitter: https://vivarays.com/collections/uv-transmitter-prescription-lenses/. Your Evening orange and Nightime red clip ons will work to both base frames.
  2. You can add the daytime clip on here: https://vivarays.com/collections/clipngo-accessories
  3. You will have a customed 4in1 set that can be a 3in1 set at the same time!

We know that too much light in the eyes can be damaging. This is why your pupils have the ability to constrict (they get smaller, decreasing the amount of light reaching your retina) or to dilate (they get bigger, increasing the amount of light reaching your retina). Even if we don’t have the capacity to see UV light, there are special receptors in our eyes that can detect it. These receptors send feedback to our brain to help control the constriction/dilatation of the pupils. So when you are outside wearing prescription glasses or sunglasses that block UV light, your pupils lose their ability to constrict properly. After a while, your eyes become much more sensitive to sunlight because you don’t have the ability to properly constrict your pupils.

After a couple of days where you gradually increase your exposure to natural sunlight with our UV transmitter lenses, your pupils will regain their ability to constrict in response to sunlight and your eyes will be able to tolerate natural sunlight as they should.

We're happy to guide you below:

For the "UVT clear" lens standard, high index thinner option is not available at the moment due to lens limitations with the materials that we work with so if you go with this option,  the lenses can be around 3mm or higher, depending on your prescription. Hopefully, a thinner option is something that we can offer in the future in UVT clear as we have tons of inquiries about them already. Our Dev Team is continuously working with this line of product.

For the "Regular Clear" high index thinner lenses, this totally blocks the UV lights but allows up to 100% blue-purple light which is also essential to our circadian during the day when you're outside. The lenses can be around 1.7mm thick, depending on your prescription. This lens is better than our colored lenses in high index and other clear high index lenses in the market. I'd be happy to share this document for a full visual comparison: https://docs.google.com/document/d/15jgo9EB4jDshKUCxd35oDmNGW-lErtuUiY9Nv1ap1ZU/edit?usp=sharing

For a quick breakdown of comparison in terms of benefits:

  • "UVT clear" standard lens is the best for prescription outdoors; you'll get the full intended benefits and better than our "Regular clear" high index.
  • "Regular clear" high index allows only the blue-purple light from the sun and is better than our 3in1 set high index when used outside or any prescription clear glasses in the market.
  • Our 3in1 set in high-index lenses is better than any prescription glasses in the market, including any other clear blue blocking glasses.

For recommendations:

  • If you don't mind what the lenses look like because you're after the maximum benefits, please go with the "UVT Clear" lenses standard, since this is the best option.
  • If you are worried about how thick and heavy the lenses will be, please go with our "Regular Clear" lenses, and you'll still get some of the benefits.
  • You can also get glasses seperately; for example: 1 UVT clear glasses for outdoor use only + a 3in1 high index thinner for indoor use. This way, it will be more comfortable for you to wear the glasses as seperate ones.

Regular prescription glasses are designed to filter out 100% of UVA and UVB. They use a coating that filters 100% of the UV as well as parts of the beneficial blue light that you get from sunlight. VivaRays lenses allow 100% of the visible light as well as up to 80% of the UV light through so that you can get what nature intended for us.

Returns and exchanges are not applicable on prescription, custom, and reading glasses.

However, if the frame arrives faulty/broken, or if the lenses are faulty, then we will definitely give you a full refund or a replacement.

Please go here to learn more about our return/ exchange policy.

If you have any issues, please reach out to our customer service team at support@vivarays.com and we will respond to your request as soon as possible.

Wear your UV Transmitter lenses the same way you wear your regular prescription lenses. As soon as you go inside and you are exposed to artificial light, snap your VivaRays Daytime Lenses. After Sunset, snap your VivaRays Evening Lenses, and 2 hours before bed switch to your VivaRays Night lenses, which block 100% of blue and green light, to optimize your circadian rhythm and help you get a great night's sleep.

Allow me to share some important insights about "regular prescription glasses" in the market that you most likely already use and why our 4-in-1 UV Transmitter Prescription Glasses might be a perfect fit for you.

The issue with regular prescription lenses in the market: Most prescription lenses block 100% of UV and beneficial blue-purple light, which are very important frequencies from natural sunlight. These frequencies help your body produce important neurotransmitters like POMC, which impacts mood, sleep, energy, libido, digestion and overall vitality. Without them, your body's natural rhythms can be disrupted, leading to imbalances in sleep and energy levels.

What happens when regular prescription lenses have blue blockers? To add fuel to the fire, most optometrists today include blue light blocking filters in prescription lenses. These lenses block the natural blue-purple light your body relies on. Blue-purple light activates enzymes that improve digestion, nutrient absorption. Also blue purple light activate the thyroid hormones which play a critical role in regulating metabolism and energy levels. By blocking these frequencies, your body misses key signals for optimal functioning.

Ironically, those clear blue blockers fail to provide protection from artificial blue light indoors. Why? Because they only block blue-purple light up to 420 nm, while LED lights and screens emit blue light starting at 430 nm and beyond. So, the very purpose they’re marketed for: ''Protecting your eyes from artificial blue light' is not effectively addressed!

To address these challenges, we’ve developed the 4-in-1 UV Transmitter Glasses, designed to help you optimize the good light coming from the sun and to eliminate the bad light coming from artificial lights.
  • Base Frame in Prescription: Worn outdoors, it allows you to absorb beneficial UV and blue-purple light from the sun without needing to take your glasses off constantly. Perfect for outdoor activities that require full vision.
  • Daytime Clip: Designed for indoor use under artificial lights or while working in front of screens, protecting your eyes from harmful blue light while keeping you alert and focused.
  • Evening Clip (Orange): Worn after sunset, it helps you relax, unwind, and prepare for restful sleep by blocking stimulating blue light.
  • Nighttime Clip (Red): Used about an hour before bed to optimize melatonin production, enhance deep sleep, and promote repair and healing.
You can explore our 4-in-1 solution here: 4-in-1 Prescription Glasses.

Prescription Lenses

Yes, we offer a high index for all types of prescription lenses, with the exception of our UV Transmitter lenses, as material limitations prevent them from being produced in high index.

High index lenses are great for those who have high prescription over a +/- 4.00 sphere reading or over a +/- 2.00 Cylinder reading. These lens types remove extra weight from high scripts, which makes your blue light glasses feel weightless on your face as you wear them.

The thickness may vary depending on the specifics of the prescription, and we can't tell the exact measurement unless we manufacture them. Our rough estimates are:

  • * Around 1.6mm thick between +/-2 to  +/-4 in high index
  • * Around 2mm thick between +/-4 to  +/-6 in high index
  • * Around 3mm thick between +/-7 to  +/-10 in high index

Yes, we do because we value everyone's time and effort.

This is only applicable to any prescription types such as Single Vision, Progressive/Bifocal, Reading and Costumed lenses.

Once an order is placed and successful, we'll consider it as you've made a final decision to the selected product.

Should you wish to cancel, please contact us immediately within the first 24 hours after placing your order so it will be a FREE cancelation otherwise, a Cancellation Fee will apply as described below.

Fee of $50 USD or $70 CAD + the prescription cost is not refundable. For example, if you order progressive, it is $129 USD, you need to pay for it + pay $50 USD or $70 CAD cancelation fees to cover the time lost and labor cost of our partnered Lab.

As of now, we don’t offer them and hopefully will be available in the future! You can still purchase our frames with clip ons, you can bring the base frame to a certified optometrist with Neurolense machines and have them install the lenses after your assessment with them.

We offer different types of prescription and reading glasses in each of our frames and in all lens colors. Simply select whether you’d like non-prescription, prescription, or readers. You can upload your script, fill it online or send it later by email to support@vivarays.com.

After selecting the frame that best suits you on our website, please follow the below steps:

1. Select ''Prescription or Readers'' under Lens type.

2. Select '' Select Lenses and Purchase''.

3. Choose your prescription type. (Single Vision, Progressives, Bifocals, Specialty Lens, Reading or All-day Reader)

4. You can either enter it manually, attach your prescription file or email it later.

The cost would be Frames + Lens e.g., Glo 3in1 $297 frames + $89 single vision prescription lenses.
We really don't recommend wearing contact lenses if possible; however, if you must, we'd recommend the following options for better eye health (these recommendations are from an optometrist who understands how light frequencies impact our cells and biology - please note that we are not affiliated 'yet' with them)
  • Dailies Total One by Alcon: This lens allows UV light to pass through and has one of the highest levels of oxygen transmission. It's also more comfortable because it attaches to your tear film. However, if you have Astigmatism or Presbyopia, this option unfortunately blocks UV light.
  • Dailies Aqua Comfort Plus by Alcon: If you need lenses for Astigmatism or Presbyopia, this would be the best choice due to its ability to transmit UV light.
  • Biofinity Lenses by Cooper: If you prefer monthly lenses, these are a good option. They are available for different prescriptions (sphere, astigmatism, and multifocal) and are known for their comfort.

If your prescription needs to be updated or you don't have them ready when placing the order, you can proceed and choose your prescription lens type and then select the option ''Send it later'' on our website. We will keep your order on hold until we receive the prescription form from you.

Kindly note that we can't keep your payment and hold the order for more than 60 days from the date of receipt without any notice. When this happens, we have the right to cancel your order and issue a full refund to the orignal mode of payment used placing the order. You can place the order once again whenever you are ready however promo code/discounts applied to the first/original order can't be reissued.

Once you get your prescription, please send a copy (clear photo or scanned) to support@vivarays.com

Pupillary Distance (PD) is generally included in the prescription from your eye doctor, we have options for you below on how to measure this.

  • Use a ruler with millimeter markings and stand in front of a mirror. Measure the distance from the center of one pupil to the center of the other.
  • Use apps like GlassesOn or EyeMeasure to measure your segment height at home. These apps guide you step-by-step using your phone’s camera.
  • You can also ask your optometrist for your PD and write them down in your prescription or piece of paper for future use.
Without these details, we can still make the prescription glasses and use generic values however if you have a unique case, then obtaining them would give us high accuracy before making the glasses. I'd highly recommend getting these before we start manufacturing your glasses.

The best option is UV Transmitter prescription glasses. The VivaRays UV transmitter lenses are scientifically engineered to allow healthy UV light to enter your eyes when you go outside. They are made for people who wear prescription lenses. Our premium CR39 lenses are designed by experts in optics and circadian rhythm and are scientifically tested to allow up to 80% of beneficial UV light to enter your eyes.

VivaRays Frame/Lens Care

We had a few clients doing this but we personally do not recommend it as our frames are not designed as fitover or eating glasses. Our frames are made of ebony wood, bio acetates, and metals; too much pressure on the frame will weaken, bend, or possibly break them.

By ordering and using them this way, we are not liable for possible damages to the frame. We want to disclose this as early as now because we value your investment in our products, and we want to set your expectations ahead of time.

Alternatively, we offer different types of prescription lenses should you wish to consider us in the future.

For Metal frames (Dusk and Aviator)

Grip the outer edges of the nose pads with your index finger and thumb and carefully squeeze them closer together. Make sure the nose pads both move the same distance or else the glasses may be crooked on your face.

  • If you accidentally make the nose pads too narrow, push them out again to widen the space between them.

  • Be careful not to bend the nose pads too much since you could accidentally break them off of your frames.

  • You may also take your frames into your optometrist or an eyeglass shop to make the adjustment for you if you don’t feel comfortable doing it yourself

For Biocetate Frames (Umy Kids, Alegria and Abundance)

The most common machine used to adjust bio acetate frames is the frame heater. Essentially if you’ve got a bio acetate frame that is one arm too high, or it’s been stretched from putting them on your head, rolled on them or sat off them, then we just need to heat the frame to bend it back into position. One of the things that we can do is heat the frame at the bridge to adjust the width of the frame. It’s just a matter of popping a little attachment into the frame heater, switch it on, and then just concentrating that heat right on the bridge, just long enough to make the frame a little more malleable. Then we can bend it back into position, and straighten it up. When one arm is higher than the another, it’s just a matter of twisting that frame back to alignment, so once we’ve got that on again then it will be nice and straight.

The next way we can adjust is behind your ears. If you need a frame to fit tighter or looser, it’s just a matter of taking off the heating attachment, concentrating the heat right at the temple. Then it’s just a matter of changing the bend, so we are going to have that fitting much tighter and more snug behind your ears. We can also wrap it to give it a tighter fit if required. And, we can actually lengthen where the bends need to be. It’s just a matter of heating here or there at the junction of the front of the frame and the temple joint of the frame or either bending that out or bending that in.

For Wooden Frames (Glo and Sunkist):

They can't be adjusted even using a heater will possibly break them however using them overtime will adjust according to the size of the head/face.

Alternatively, please utilize the accessories that comes with your glasses. Many people either miss them or aren’t quite sure how to use them, so I’m sharing similar short videos below to guide you:

These accessories can make a big difference in comfort and fit. These can help you get the most out of your lenses and also prevent them from sliding down.

Wood is hygroscopic, meaning it naturally absorbs moisture from its surroundings.

To counteract this, our wooden eyeglass frames are coated with organic beeswax. This treatment is crucial as it stabilizes the moisture content, minimizing the risk of splinters, and cracks, and making the wood more resistant to water absorption and warping.

To maintain the pristine condition of your glasses, a simple yet effective care routine is recommended. Regularly oiling or lubricating the frames with substances like olive oil, and beeswax, can significantly combat wood drying. Here's how to do it:

  • Apply a small amount of beeswax or olive oil to the wood. This will nourish the material and bring back its original shine.
  • Wipe off any excess oil with a microfiber pouch, ensuring that it doesn't touch the lenses.
  • This care should be repeated every 4 to 6 months to keep the wood in prime condition.
  • Also, storing the glasses in their case when not in use will greatly contribute to their longevity.
Wood is a piece of nature and, like all things natural, it flourishes with a bit of love and attention.
  • Bio-Acetate Frames such as Sol, Alegria, Abundance, & Umy are made from Mazzucchelli’s premium bio-acetate in Italy. Unlike conventional plastics, bio-acetate is biodegradable, plant-based, and non-toxic. It’s designed to be durable, lightweight, and eco-friendly, giving you a high-quality frame that’s as kind to the planet as it is stylish.
  • Ebony Wood Frames such as Glo & Sunkist are FSC-certified and sustainably sourced from Asia. These frames are crafted from responsibly harvested wood, ensuring durability and natural elegance.
  • Stainless Steel Frames such as Dusk & Aviator are nickel-free, making them hypoallergenic and safe for sensitive skin. They are lightweight, durable, and designed for lasting comfort.
  • Our no prescription and prescription lenses are made of CR39 manufactured in our partnered Lab in Canada, where we prioritize precision and quality to ensure optimal light protection.
  • Always use the protective case.
  • You can keep them to any non magnetic storage such as wooden cabinets.
  • Don't leave them on the dash in hot cars.

Based on our Customer Service reports we had <1% of our clients experiencing similar problem and that was either because they were using them incorrectly or because they have not adjusted to them yet.

  • Some people were wearing 3 clip ons on top of each other which is wrong. You should only wear the base yellow frame during the day and need to clip the orange lenses after sunset, and 2 hours before bed, remove orange and clip on the red nighttime lenses.
  • When we were testing our glasses before we launch them, a few of us also experienced discomfort wearing them and it took around 1-3 weeks to adjust to new wooden frames with clip ons. Now, we have been wearing them for years together with our previous clients and we LOVE them. Based on our personal experience, we're able to recommend this option to our clients and they felt comfortable wearing them overtime.
  • Other options are getting "nose pads" for glasses that suits your nose bridge/shape of your face, available in your local optometrist store/clinic or Amazon. For the temple Arm/Ears protection, you can also get an "ear cushions" for glasses depending on the shape of your ears/head, link here: https://byebyenosedents.com/products/eyeglass-cushions. We'll also have these accessories available in the future.

Next steps:

We do not want to assume that you will feel comfort wearing them after weeks as you are unique, and your experience may be different, which is why we will suggest the below:

  1. Wear them for 1-3 weeks more and make sure you wear them correctly as mentioned above.
  2. If discomfort persist, we are happy to replace it for you! Please email us at support@vivarays.com with your preferred style as replacement, and mention that you tried to complete what was mentioned above so we can move forward with other options.

This rarely happen and doesn't mean you are allergic to the frames or that we use unfriendly chemicals. To remedy, we'd recommend using coconut oil or beeswax with olive oil on the frame where they rest on your nose and wiping these natural oils to your frame will look brand new. This is also the best cleaning method and the burning sensation will surely fade away.

If kept and used in optimum working conditions, will keep its magnetism for years and years. Over a longer period of time, random temperature fluctuations, stray magnetic fields and mechanical movement will cause magnetic properties to decay. For longevity, please don't put your magnetic frames to any magnetic storages to avoid stressing the magnets otherwise they will become loose early than expected.

We kindly recommend that you confirm your eligibility with your provider before placing your order.

Once you have placed your order online and paid in full, please email us at support@vivarays.com to request a copy of the invoice, which will include our company details.

Yes, HSA/FSA card payments can now be accepted on our account with Shopify store using merchant category code (MCC): 8043 - Opticians, Opticians Goods and Eyeglasses.

Under the HAS/FSA eligibility Vision care - Optometric services and medical expenses for eyeglasses and contact lenses needed for medical reasons are reimbursable. Eye exams and expenses for contact lens solutions are also reimbursable. However, premiums for contact lens replacement insurance are not reimbursable. You may contact your provider to confirm what are included in your plan prior to purchasing.

Please keep in mind, that even if our account is enabled to accept HSA/FSA payments, that doesn’t necessarily guarantee that a card won’t be declined. Card issuers are still at liberty to authorize or decline any payment as they would with any other type of credit card.

If your card is being declined, please seek additional clarification by reaching out directly to your card issuer/bank. HSA/FSA cards are often refused due to factors outside of the control of anyone except for the card issuer.

We’re happy to support a variety of payment and benefit options.

While we do accept installment payments from FSA, HSA, Klarna, and Shop Pay; please note that we have limited information about their services, and we can only assure they will work if you are eligible or qualified under their program.

Klarna: You can place your order using your Klarna account if you are an active member of their service.

For specific details, terms, and conditions of each program, please contact the appropriate provider directly.

No worries! Please email us your coupon code at support@vivarays.com to manually apply the discount to your unfulfilled order, and then we can issue a refund accordingly. Kindly note that we can't apply the discount anymore if the item(s) have already been received and used

If you have a higher coupon code than what you used to place your order online, we can apply the difference only e.g. you used 10% off coupon and wanted to use 15% off then we can apply the 5% discount to make it 15% off in total. We can't apply 2 different coupon codes in 1 order; however, you can save the coupon code for future use or ask for a replacement coupon code at support@vivarays.com if it's about to expire.

Sadly, we are unable to determine or provide a specific reason for such cases.

For Klarna, please reach out to Klarna's Customer Support for more specific information. Here is a general FAQ page for Klarna that may be helpful about a failed or rejected order. The Customer Support contacts are at the bottom of that page as well. What may be applicable in this instance is the, "Why wasn't my purchase approved with Klarna?". That page also lists some "good to know" points, that may be hindering the customer's ability to place an order at this time.

For Credit or Debit cards, please contact your bank issuer to determine the issues. In most cases, it needs an autorization or verification of the purchase.

Sleeping Masks

When adjusted properly using the extra room that we’ve provided in the elastic stretch bands, it’s very unlikely that the mask will fall off.

To get the perfect fit with your VivaRays mask, follow these steps:

  • Place the eye cups spaced far apart along the head strap and try the mask on.
  • If you do not get 100% blackout, detach the eye cups and place them slightly closer to each other and try the mask on again.
  • Repeat this process until the eye cups are just right and you get 100% blackout.

You can also watch this video: https://www.loom.com/share/4f041615aa6e4f3d8e1e3ae783dbd0c5

Yes, it’s comfortable in all sleep positions. The head strap is made from organic cotton, and it is super soft on the head, you won’t even notice it’s there.

For side sleepers and belly sleepers: The foam is super soft so even if you lie on your side or on your belly, you will find our No-Rays’ Mask molding to your face and not causing any irritation.

Please note that the concept of this mask might be new to you if you’re not used to a mask that provides a near-perfect experience (complete blackout without even touching your eyes!) so it might take a couple of days to adjust to this luxury (Or maybe not even one hour…)

Washing Instructions:
• For best results and for product longevity, wash in a mesh laundry bag/pouch or hand wash them and gently brush with soft bristle only if needed.
• Machine wash in cold temperature. Gentle cycle and air/hang to dry.
• We do not recommend using fabric softeners and bleach.

The No-Rays Mask prioritizes ultra-comfort through its design. To prevent any skin irritation, all sections of the mask that come into contact with the skin incorporate soft, breathable GOTS certified organic cotton that is devoid of harmful chemicals. Anything that is GOTS certified means that is not harmful to the skin and the environment.

The eye cups consist of memory foam and are also covered with GOTS organic cotton.

As for the velcro, we have chosen to use Econyl, which we believe to be the most eco-friendly alternative currently available.

Unfortunately, we cannot issue a return on our mask due to hygiene reasons. You may exchange your mask within 10 days if there’s damage.

Definitely not. The inside of the eyecups is super soft, it feels like air on your face!

This depends on the length of the eyelashes.

Our fully adjustable No-Rays eye cups and straps are specially made to fit perfectly on your face.

They are customized so that they are never too tight or too loose.

The eye cups of this mask have been designed to have zero pressure on eyelids or lashes, so you might even forget that you are wearing a mask at all!

We know how annoying this would feel… we’ve been there, so it’s absolutely not going to pull on your hair as cheap sleep masks with Velcro closures would. We’ve made sure to use micro-Velcro on the strap to avoid this from happening.

Definitely. Unlike generic sleep masks in the market, our eye cups are adjustable, which means they can mold to your face and nose shape to create a perfect seal (no light sneaking in and disrupting your sleep).

EarPlugs

  1. Before use, completely remove cotton wool.
  2. Soften the plug by vigorous kneading, and form it into a ball (no elongated shape!). Use the entire earplug – don't split!
  3. Seal the opening of the ear canal with gentle pressure. Do not insert it into the ear canal!

Please watch this video for more information.

The Pack Includes 6 Pairs, which lasts up to 3 months.

The earplugs protect against loud noises from 24.9 dB to 44.4 dB.

Earphones

Our TubePhones are designed to block 100% of EMF radiation from reaching your head and ears by using airtube technology instead of traditional wired speakers.

Here’s what that means in simple terms: Instead of carrying electrical signals all the way to your ears like regular headphones, the sound in our TubePhones travels through a hollow airtube. This means that there’s zero EMF transmission from your phone to your head and no ELF (Extremely Low Frequency) or 5G signals can be carried from your phone into your ears while using them.

That said, it's important to note that while TubePhones eliminate the transmittance of EMF's from your phone, they are not a tool for blocking 5G network signals or ELF radiation in your environment.

If you’re looking to reduce overall exposure, other steps like keeping devices on airplane mode when possible, and limiting wireless exposure in your space can be helpful.

Great question! It must be use the Apple original adapter to connect, because only the original chip inside that can support make phone calls.
